On both the days (14th & 15th ) followed by the performances by the distinguished artists, we have planned “APPICON got talent” to encourage participation of delegates in cultural activities.
It will provide a platform to participants to showcase their talent in terms of dancing, singing and art. Along with this there will be hoards of other activities like face painting, karaoke and wheel of fortune to engage one and all.
During the academic feast from 13th-16th April 2022, the delegates will witness the colors of a mesmerizing cultural extravaganza being unfold right after the scientific program.
There will be a scintillating Kathak dance performance by Smt. Shovana Narayan on 14th April 2022 from 6 PM -6:45 PM at ESIC Medical College Faridabad. Shovana Narayan has performed widely in several prestigious national and international festivals and before several Heads of States and Governments and has trained several Kathak artists of the young generation.
She has been a recipient of Padma Shri, 1992; Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, 1999–2000; Delhi Government's Parishad Samman, Rajiv Smriti Puraskar Bihar Gaurav Puraskar, 1985 to name a few.
On 15 th April 2022, there will be a soul stirring Sitar recital by renowned Sitar Maestro Pt Shubhendra Rao.
He is a composer and sitar player who's ranked amongst the top soloists of India. He is being described as "a musical bridge to many cultures" and "a thinking musician, constantly endeavouring to carry his instrument beyond conventional boundaries" . His music is "an experience that is not aimed at titillating the senses, but to seize the soul .
A protégé of Ravi Shankar, he is acknowledged by critics and connoisseurs alike as a worthy successor to his teacher's tradition. He is a classical musician, as well as a collaborator, working with musicians from different genres across the world. He has performed at prestigious venues and festivals like the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Broadway, the Sydney Opera House, the National Arts Festival, the Theatre de la Ville, Dover Lane Music Conference, and St. Xavier's college Ahmedabad to name a few.
