1. APPI award for best teacher in Physiology/Pharmacology for significant contribution for elevating undergraduate and postgraduate education in India, instituted in name of Dr K Puthuraya.

Criteria The nomination should be done by two life-members of APPI with at-least 10 years of membership of the APPI. The nominee for the Best Teacher award should meet all of the following criteria:

• must be an Indian Physiologist/Pharmacologist
• should have a minimum 20 years of experience as a graduate/post-graduate teacher in Medical Colleges in disciplines of Physiology/Pharmacology
• should have been chief-guide/co-guide to at-least 10 students for thesis work at postgraduate level.
• must have at-least 5 publications arising out of the thesis work of the postgraduate students guided/co-guided by nominee in peer reviewed National/International Journals of repute.

Presentation of the Award:

The awards are presented during the Annual Conference of the APPI (APPICON)

Process of Nomination The complete process of the nomination will be done through dedicated portal at the website appi.org.in

The online process shall access the profile page of the APPI members. All the members are advised to update their profile page before proceeding. The following information is necessary in the profile pages for successful completion of online submission: Date of Birth, Designation, Institution, Phone, authenticated email id and address.

The nomination process consists of following steps:

Step2  Information of the Endorsing member: The nominator is required to provide information of another member of the APPI who has agreed to endorse the nomination. The Endorsing member should have an active web-account at the appi.org.in

Step3  Bio-data of the Nominee: The nominator is required to provide a brief write-up illustrating the contribution of the nominee to APPI to support his/her candidature for the Life Time Achievement Award of APPI. Criteria The nomination should be done by two life-members of APPI with atleast 10 years of membership of the APPI. The nominee for the APPI award in Medical Education and Technology should meet all of the following criteria:

• must be an Indian Physiologist/Pharmacologist
• should have a minimum 20 years of experience as a graduate/post-graduate teacher in Medical Colleges in disciplines of Physiology/Pharmacology
• must have been resource person for total of 10 national level or regional workshop/conference held in the field of Medical Education and Technology.
• must have contributed significantly to implementation of tools of Medical Education and Technology at College/Regional/National Level
