Maj Gen S L Bhatia Oration

Criteria  The nomination should be done by two life-members of APPI with at least 10 years of life membership of the APPI. The nominee for the Maj Gen S L Bhatia Oration Award should meet all of the following criteria:

1. must be an Indian Physician/Physiologist/Pharmacologist/Scientist
2. must have outstanding research work with at-least 40 publications of original work in peer reviewed National/International Journals of repute.
3. should have a minimum 30 years of experience as Teacher/Administrator/Scientist in Medical Colleges/Institutions/Research Institutes in disciplines of Physiology and Pharmacology or Allied sciences.
4. should have contributed significantly in starting/setting up new facility or Sub-branch/Sub-Speciality in Physiology/Pharmacology/Allied Sciences in India.

Presentation of the Award

The awards are presented during the Annual Conference of the APPI (APPICON). Registration fees for the awardee will be waived off. Local hospitality will be covered by the Conference Secretary.

Process of Nomination

The nominations are filed through an online portal at the website of appi.org.in

The online process shall access the profile page of the APPI members. All the members are advised to update their profile page before proceeding. The following information is necessary in the profile pages for successful completion of online submission:Date of Birth, Designation, Institution, Phone, authenticated email id and address.

The nomination process consists of following steps:

Step1  Nominator’s information: The nominator is required to login to the website appi.org.in and provide necessary information.

Step2  The nominator is required to provide information of another member of the APPI who has agreed to endorse the nomination. The Endorsing member should have an active web-account at the appi.org.in

Step3  Bio-data of the Nominee: The nominator is required to provide a brief write-up illustrating the contribution of the nominee to APPI to support his/her candidature for the Life Time Achievement Award of APPI. To submit a detailed Bio-data of the Nominee. The nominee should have an active web-account at the appi.org.in

Step4  Confirm and Submit

Baldev Singh Oration

Criteria  The nomination should be done by two life-members of APPI with at least 10 years of life membership of the APPI. The person to be nominated for Prof Baldev Singh Oration Award should meet all of the following criteria:

1. must be an Indian Physician/Physiologist/Pharmacologist/Scientist
2. must have outstanding research work in neuroscience with at-least 35 publications of original work in peer reviewed National/International Journals of repute excluding review articles, commentaries and letter to editors
3. should have minimum 25 years of experience as Teacher/r/Scientist/researcher in Medical Colleges/Institutions/Research Institutes in disciplines of Physiology and Pharmacology or Allied sciences.
4. should have contributed significantly in starting/setting up new facility or sub branch/Sub-Speciality in relation to Neurosciences.
