APPI Awards for Published/Unpublished Research Work
A number of award have been instituted to recognize the research work conducted by the life-members of the APPI. These Awards are specifically targeted for Junior Members of the Association to encourage and support them with recognition of their research work. These awards are for published work/unpublished work done in last two calendar years.
- APPI award for best research paper published in Physiology instituted in the name of Dr B K Anand
- APPI Award for best research paper published in Pharmacology instituted in the name of Dr C L Malhotra
- APPI Award for Best Research Paper published in relation to development of newer techniques/instrumentation in Physiology/Pharmacology or allied sciences, instituted in the name of Dr Dev Raj Bajaj
- APPI Award for Best Research Paper published in relation to development of newer techniques/instrumentation in Respiratory Physiology/Pharmacology or allied sciences, instituted in the name of Dr H H Loescheke
- APPI Award for Best Research Paper published in Cardiovascular Physiology/Pharmacology or allied sciences, instituted in the name of Dr R C Shukla
- APPI Award for Best Research Paper published in Endocrinology/Neuro-endocrinology in Physiology/Pharmacology or allied sciences, instituted in the name of A V Tilak Parvathi Devi.
- APPI Award for Best Research Paper published in Natural Health, Naturopathy and Yoga in Physiology/Pharmacology or allied sciences, instituted in the name of Shushila Thaker Prakrithi Mandir.
- APPI award for best paper published in IJPP instituted by Dr G K Pal
Criteria for the APPI Awards for published/Unpublished Research work
- The work should have been carried out in India.
- The paper submitted for the awards should be published/accepted for publication/under-revision in within two last calendar years.
- Unpublished research work carried out in last two years may also be submitted with an undertaking if awarded, the manuscript will be published in the Indian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology, the official journal of the APPI.
- The applicant should be the first author of the paper. There will be only one first author.
- Life membership applied/provisionally availed in the same calendar year of APPICON are not eligible.
- The applicant should be under the age of 40 at the time of application.
- The submitted research work must not have been awarded earlier in any National or International Level Conference.
- One cannot avail the award twice.
Procedure for application
The application for the APPI award for published/unpublished work is done only through online portal at appi.org.in
The online process shall access the profile page of the APPI members. All the members are advised to update their profile page before proceeding. The following information is necessary in the profile pages for successful completion of online submission: Date of Birth, Designation, Institution, Phone, authenticated email id and address.
The application consists of following steps
Registration for APPICON is mandatory to begin the process of application.
Step1 Applicant’s information: The applicant is required to login to the website appi.org.in and provide necessary information.
Step2 Selection of Award(s): The applicants should select the awards that applicant wishes to apply for. More than one award can be selected provided the submitted research work for the awards is non-overlapping and mutually exclusive.
Step3 Uploading of manuscripts: For published work, pdf of print copy of the manuscript should be uploaded. For accepted/under-revision pdf of latest version of the proof/revision should be uploaded. For unpublished work, the manuscript should be formatted as per IJPP (ijpp.com). Any major deviations in formatting shall be summarily rejected.
